AFRICA

The small village of Southport on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast lies about ten kilometers to the north of Port Shepstone. It is essentially a beautiful, secluded beach, rich in shady areas and ideal for family holidays. There are at least 10 golf courses within a 50 kilometre radius of Southport; nature reserves, hiking trails and snorkelling sites abound, whilst some of the best fishing spots are very close by. Twenty kilometers inland from Southport is the Oribi Gorge, a 400 metre deep gorge that is the largest and most spectacular gorge in KwaZulu-Natal.
