Margate

The resort town of Margate acts as the economic centre for a strip of coastline almost completely made up of accommodations, holiday homes and tourist-related establishments. Margate is a mid-winter magnet for up-country South Africans, as they escape the sub-zero temperatures of the Free State and Gauteng for the mild climate of the South Coast.
