![]() The quiet little village of Southbroom enjoys a 4 kilometre sandy Indian Ocean beach frontage and has protected its coastal bush with passion. The beach is protected by shark nets and is patrolled by lifeguards during school holidays. Grassy banks amid lush green tropical vegetation adjoining the beach are equipped with braai facilities, and are a superb venue for an afternoon braai or picnic. Adjoining the beach there is a lagoon, which offers safe bathing for children. The lagoon is also a favourite spot for small canoes and sailing boats. There are two tidal pools here for children.
