Tsitsikamma is the khoi word for "place of many waters" and is an appropriate name for this area. It is an adventure sports enthusiast's dream and is renowned for its spectacular hiking trails. Storm's River Village is the hub of adventure tours in the area. The Tsitsikamma National Park is internationally recognized for its forests which harbour and conserve the giant Outeniqua yellowwood - one of the few true monarchs of the world's forests. Tourists, and particularly hikers from all over the world, visit the area which is known for its rugged, unspoiled coastline - a photographer's dream.
