GUIDES

Hartenbos with its white-washed beaches, calm sea and all-year Mediterranean climate sttracts thousands of holidaymakers from the interior especially during the peak season of December/January. It was originally established by the ATKV (Afrikaans Language and Cultural Society) in 1936 when the society took over the farm of Hartenbos. Today it boasts the biggest self-catering establishment on the Southern Cape coast and is the ideal family holiday destination. On the outskirts of this town one can enjoy activities such as hiking trails, game drives and horse riding through the famous endemic Southern Cape fynbos.
