AFRICA

Affectionately referred to as Buffalo City, East London is one of the major cities in the Eastern Cape. This coastal destination is located along the south-east coast region of South Africa, in a stretch of coastline that is called the “Sunshine Coast” by locals. Its magnificent beaches, world class accommodation and unlimited number of attractions have created a strong tourism industry in the city and each year thousands of visitors arrive to explore the beauty of East London and its surrounding areas.

Nahoon Beach, Gonubie Beach and Orient Beach are extremely popular, as they offer clean sand, sparkling waters and picturesque sunsets. The fact that they are not overpopulated seems to lure many visitors and also offers the opportunity to enjoy water sport activities such as surfing, dolphin and whale watching, scuba diving, sail boating, water skiing and fishing. On land, adventure activities, including hiking, horse riding and cycling, will keep visitors occupied and nature enthusiasts will catch glimpses of their favorite African animals at nearby game reserves such as Camdeboo National Park, Mpgongo Private Game Reserve, Inkwenkwesi Private Game Reserve and Mountain Zebra National Park. East London also has a wonderful miniature game reserve that is home to animals such as crocodile, tigers, lions, zebra and a large variety of birds.
