Rosebank

SOUTH AFRICA

AFRICA

This is a suburb wedged between Mowbray and Rondebosch and stretches from the University of Cape Town to the Rondebosch Common. Homes are predominantly Victorian and thereafter mostly 1930's architecture with the emphasis on pillars, high ceilings, arches, oregan pine floors and traditional fireplaces. Most of the Victorian homes have been tastefully modernized or are in the process of being restored. The original farmhouse, Vredenburg, is a private residence and is being lovingly restored to its late 1700's glory.
